MENTAL/BODY

Multimedia, site-specific group dance choreography exploring the physical manifestation of mental health illnesses and the resiliency of community building in the rehearsal and performance processes. 6 dancers. 25 minutes.

Music by Jacquie Pittman and pianist Phil Dupont. Performed at the Motion Lab and Studio Space at The Ohio State University Department of Dance.

DANCE PRACTICES

OhioDance Festival presenter.
Session titled "Emotionally-Inclusive Dance Practices." May 1, 2022.

Hosted a wellness workshop that explored emotionally-inclusive, dancer-centered pedagogic practices. Demonstrated several emotionally-inclusive activities for dancers and teachers alike. These practices can create insightful and productive learning experiences while simultaneously generating meaningful work. By discussing and taking an active role in our mental health care, dancers see positive mental and physical health benefits.
